David Afternoon Tea|Everyone can be an Artist

Release time:2025-03-22 Author:5A1

At the beginning of the event, we first broke the boundaries of first encounter. The brief self-introductions of photography enthusiasts instantly ignited the scene. Artistic souls of different styles intertwined here, building a magnetic field of trust and resonance.

Professor David Lai led the photography enthusiasts visited through the "Flowers in the Mirror" exhibition, talking from spatial narrative to the emotions behind it, from traditional photography to AI photography. Lai said: "This is a condensed version of the development of photography."

The most exciting part is the exhibition of everyone's works in turn. Present recent creations with impromptu PPT speeches.

Every page turn triggers a heated discussion: "Why is it black and white photography?" "Why is the color contrast so strong?" The questions go straight to the core, and the tacit understanding of those who share the same frequency of art flows in the fierce exchange of ideas.

Yang Zhuoyi, who returned from studying photography abroad, brought his works to everyone. He said: "I used black and white to express childhood memories in this group of photos, because psychological research has found that when we recall our childhood, we often remember the outline rather than the details. I deliberately strengthened the contrast between light and dark to make the shape of the object more prominent. After removing the color, the sense of age disappeared, and the remaining outlines made it easier for people to recall their childhood.

After each work is shown, Lai always asks questions that seem simple but get to the heart of the matter: "What is the symbolism and particularity of black and white language?" "Are young people turning their hearts to themselves when they shoot?"

In the final free exchange session, the blueberry cake and hand-brewed coffee on the table became the best supporting roles. The dusk outside the window gradually deepened, while the artistic sparks inside became brighter and brighter.

The first "David Afternoon Tea" has come to a successful conclusion, thanks to the love of photography enthusiasts. The second "David Afternoon Tea" will be held next month as scheduled. 5A1 art space sincerely invites old and new friends to attend this aesthetic feast. We will use tea as a guide and light as ink to explore the soul trembling of image art in the symphony of tea cups and lens poetry. Whether it is the artistic philosophy under the lens or the poetic narrative between shutters, you can dance with the fragrance of tea and sing with light and shadow under this art dome.
